A Prayer for Sharon

On this day, my thoughts are with Ariel Sharon. I pray for a speedy and healthy recovery and hope for a miracle. Given the alternatives, Israel without his leadership is a thought almost too hard to bear.

I also share your prayer for Ariel Sharon's recovery. However it appears we need to adjust to the idea of alternative leadership. I learned to appreciate Sharon over the last 2 years despite being decidely depressed when he was voted in as PM. Things change.

Welcome back to these dynamic soils. The four years passed quickly.

just now the PM lies in the eye
of the storm. actually Israel lies
in the eye also. with the com-
pletion of the wall the storm will
remain outside for the most part.
    should A.Sharon not survive, God
will raise up a leader for the
    land. he always has.

I'm actually really hoping for mashiach now. Sharon was one of the last 'leaders' (besides Peres)and Harav Kaduri is also perhaps one of the last 'gigantic' Rabbis of our time. We are truly a people without leadership right now.
